I trying to get signed up for the boot camp which is in July. Now I have to get everything ready for the con in June.

I'm not going to be getting any work done this summer it seems.

Since only one guess and Bonanza guessed twice I will use his second guess of Indianapolis.

That sure would make my drive time easier.

DJ, I will do my best to let you know the awesome speakers as soon as possible. However, as many know who come to our conferences and conventions, what makes Mr. Landlord events unique from any other is that our events are not centered around the speakers.

Our events are centered around the hundreds of successful landlords nationwide who come to share, brainstorm and exchange of their wealth of experiences and ideas. Again we will have some awesome speakers. But the unique environment of sharing and building up each other, created at our national and international events is not something you can find by searching youtube, the internet or even most local meetings.

We are not the flashiest, speaker-hyped, event in the country, but we promise to always offer you and other landlords the real deal of hundreds of practical nuggets of ideas that will greatly add to your rental property success. As one attendee put it one year; the real wealth of information at our Mr. Landlord events is not just on the stage, it's with the 200 to 300 unassuming "millionaire next-door" landlords attending and participating. Hope you can join us and add to that wealth:)

Yes, Jeffrey - speakers aren't everything, but they are important.

Particularly the topics.

It's good to think about & do some homework on the topics in advance, in order to have good questions that you want to learn the answers to.

Jeffery probably doesn't know that this location is offering a bonus unusual event occurring at the same time that has not happened in the past 200 years that you should be able to enjoy in Indy during this convention.

Cicadas come out periodically. There are two groups coming every 13 or every 15 years. In Indiana and Illinois (or should it be changed to ill Noise) the two broods will be coming out late May early June at the same time. They are expected to make about a 100 Db level of noise with the mating calls - about what a subway train makes.

DJ. You mention that topics at the Convention are particularly important. So let me ask you, and please any others who would like to provide input as I begin identifying instructors for this year's event;

Which topic would you especially liked addressed, taught or discussed at this year's Convention. And I will do my best to make sure, that between the speakers, brainstorming or Q&A sessions and myself that the topic(s) will be covered.

Legal Strategy and watch outs

Tech Tools

Finding and vetting out contractors and handymen

Learning how to take the tools out of the truck.

How about "technology for dummies"?

Like "basic" stuff such as setting up auto-responders, creating pre-screen forms & applications, spreadsheets, etc. using google docs, or whatever other "simple" platform works well for a small LL with just a few doors. As in, not Buildup & other big, fancy/expensive/complicated programs. Just the stuff you need to get into to stop using paper & make processes more streamlined & standardized/non-discrimnatory.

Would it even be possible for somebody to share all the new legislation concerning rental properties, in all 50 states? ( I really just want to know VA, but .... that's not fair : ) Also how the most effective way to lobby representatives. A group to join that already does lobbying. Some way to get together and try to work to influence law-makers.

I just heard on the radio this evening that VA is looking at a bill to restrict rent amounts. I don't know the details yet, but they usually take effect in July here.

Maybe not LESS round tables, but more time to get deeper into the subjects.

Jeffrey needs to give Barbara a big pat on the back for being on top of things. She not only remembered me from when I signed up for the boot camp a couple days back but she called me to say that since I am an alumni I saved a few bucks more on the convention.
