I have gas lawnmowers, blowers, chainsaw, pressure washer, snow blower, trimmers along with a Makita battery chainsaw where good for only 15 minutes then have change batteries to recharge. While the battery works it does not have the power that a gas chainsaw. Since January it is no possible to buy non ethanol gasoline where will keep gasoline longer than 30 days. In house have a natural gas stove, clothes dryers and demand water heater. So if no longer sold new will buy online used like facebook market place. I DIY a majority of things to include lawn care. I also mow my mother's yard. For my mother's yard I actually purchased a battery powered push mower and weed trimmer. Her yard is a small city lot, however it is a tough yard to mow because it has a lot of problem areas. To be more specific, this is HART brand from Walmart. I have no doubt that other brands may be better. As far as the equipment itself goes, it does a really good job, however, the batteries do not hold a charge long enough, even when the grass is kept cut low. The first year of use everything was fine, for this small lot, as I had 2 batteries. After the first 1 1/2 years one of the batteries went bad, and thus the one battery left doesn't last. The batteries cost way too much to keep replacing and thus I am better off using a gas mower. And the gas mower I can use for decades. I like the battery powered for a small job, because it is much quieter and lighter. It is also more convenient. However, for bigger, tougher jobs, they will not do the trick. Corded power tools have decent compared to battery chainsaws, lawnmowers where cordless drills are ok except hammer drills. If I use Makita chainsaw it is good for quick small jobs where it would be difficult for a large tree. Gas lawnmowers are able to mulch better. Electric powered snow blowers are good for light snow not wet snow. A wood chipper and pressure washer electric does not have the power. Gas lawnmowers the gasoline must not be over 30 days as the ethanol will cause water to form along with must be topped up and changed. I've been very happy with my Ryobi 18v hedge trimmer, 13" mower, hedge trimmer, and blower. I have 6 4AH batteries and it more than covers my simple needs.
