National Association of Residential Property Managers

Just found out you need to be a "professional:" property manager - of Someone ELSE'S property to be a member. Or someone/company that provides a service to them, to be an associate member.

They don't want us playing in their sandbox ; )

Oh, well!

Many times neighbors of the subject property that I'm involved in wanted me to "prove" to them my licensed status over the management of the property. If they aren't satisfied I get reported to the various City Department.

In one case the building next to my 4 unit had their tenants driving on my lawn and across the walkway along their driveway because they didn't want to drive too close to their building.

I put up signs and told the tenants next door to stop driving on my lawn and walkway. They drove over sprinkles and cracked my walkway.

After repeated used I put up metal post six inches inside my property line to keep they off my property. Not too high so their side mirrors of their vehicles would clean.

I found myself in court, city court. How dare I install posts!

I laughed at these Bozo's and showed them my security camera video of all of the neighbors tenants damaging my lawn, sprinklers and walkway. I showed my letters and communications with the owner of that property.

They City said I didn't have a right to install anything. I told them to back off. I'm a licensed contractor, I pulled the necessary permits and had it signed off by a city inspector. I am a property manager and 1/2 owner of this property. The tenants next door caused over $1000 in damages and would have continued to do more damage.

I won this hearing/kangaroo court... --47.156.xx.xx
