Has anyone bid and bought a house on HUDhomestore?
What was your experience?
I found a house I really like that would need minimal reno (I think) and would retail for 190K. I'd would love to low ball and get it, flip it, and make a great return like some of you fine folks but I have a feeling that isn't the way things work nowadays.

Yes we have bought them through there before. I have noticed the game has changed greatly in the realm of foreclosures in the past 5 years compared to how they were 10 years ago.
Pursue it until you can't. --50.107.xxx.xxx |

We bought a few, the last one about 6 years ago. I don't know if anything changed, but back then it was required you go through an agent.
The rules are goofy and many. One house, we won the bid, then they pulled it and said sorry, no sale. 30 days later they listed the same house. We bid lower this time 'cause we were ticked... and won anyway. --173.233.xxx.xx |

I contacted the broker assigned to the case. Short version is they have a bid for 184K on a 190K house. Not a potential investor sale so I guess I will keep looking
