Along with Spring time comes the job I hate the most as property owner: Accordingly, do any fellow landlords out there have any tips for simplifying this tedious task?
Thank you! --173.48.xxx.xxx |

I know what you mean! Tenants seem to hate cleaning glass too, especially if a ladder is needed.
Therefore i hire the elbow grease of tried and true cleaning companies. --173.48.xxx.xxx |

A good squeegee makes a lot of difference. A good window squeegee is thin and doesn't have much give in it, not like a car window squeegee.
Spray on the cleaner, squeegee it off. Try not to do windows in direct sunlight as it dries the cleaner too fast and you will get streaks. --98.146.xxx.xxx |

My tenants never open their windows. Well some might but most do not. I haven't washed the windows at any of our places ever. That's housekeeping, not maintenance. --50.82.xxx.xx |

I'm with WMH, only time I clean windows is to make a vacancy show nicer. That's part of the cleaners job. --50.26.xx.xxx |

Yes, now the rain and snow is over, and dust season is beginning in the desert we need to do ours too. Hiring someone is like $500 each time. Nice work if you get it, but ya ain't gittin it from me!
Windows are EASY. Get a squegee and a sponge - I have a fancy commercial window mop. Put a COUPLE drops of dish soap in a bucket. Mop the glass, squegee it off, wiping the blade with a dry cloth in between swipes. Put the tools on a paint pole to reach further.
You can also use a car window squegee like gas stations have for qiuck jobs.
We take the screens and carefully brush them under a hose. --47.216.xx.xxx |

No way I'm cleaning the outside of the windows in a C Rental. But if you're going to tackle that I do recommend getting the squeegee mop with removable cover and a dedicated window squeegee brush and an extension rod. I think professional window cleaners use something similar to muriatic acid to clean windows on the outside. For cleaning windows inside I love invisible glass. Just don't apply too much or you'll have a heck of a time wiping all off --66.87.xxx.xxx |

I don't clean the windows on my rentals if I have tenants. Between tenants, I will, to show the place clean, bright and sparkly. Yup, don't even do my own enough. Clean the dog nose prints off and they are back the next day anyway. LOL --108.4.xxx.xx |

Used a squeegee for the first time and it is great. I bought a thing with a sponge on one side and the squeegee on the other and used Trisodium Phosphate since that is what I had in the bucket. Dirt rolled right off with squeegee and paper towels to soak up the dirt water. --173.61.xxx.xx |
