Roy (AL)
As usual I am late to the dance.
Just now (3-14-19 8:20 pm central time) read your post about making an electrical receptacle to use.
I am not going to get in the fry about good or bad idea.
I would suggest you get and read “step by step guide book on HOME WIRING” by Ray McReynolds.
Step by Step guide book Co. PO box 70865 Salt Lake City, Utah 84170 1-800-678-1500
Maybe less than $10.00. 48 pages for the one I have. I have also saw it on line but not sure how to find it again.
It will give you some basic ideas about hooking up stuff but not make you an electrician.
Sometimes I wonder where we (the USA) would be if everyone always told us “You can’t do that”. Paul Revere could not have ridden the horse to give warning because riding a hours is dangerous. Doolittle could not have flown an airplane because of the danger. You get the idea.
Why am I late reading your post? I was out buying a “sheriff sale” property. Something I had never done before. Maybe that was a dangerous gamble but I did it anyway.
No need to reply to this post because I will not look at or respond to any responses.
