Under a separate post (by someone else that was "ticked off" about the people not showing up) there was someone that stated they saved the prospective tenants number under "NO SHOW".
I just had to laugh. A few years ago I had a run of "no shows". It was getting to the point that I was so infuriated with them that I did just this - saved their name and number as "so and so no show".
These weren't ones that would make an appointment and I would just show up without prior verification - these are ones that I would call/text and they would confirm OR they would state "I'm here now" and ONLY because I happened to be in the area/close I would actually go.
What really ticked me off was that they weren't there. I don't understand why they "confirm" or state "I'm here" but blatantly LIE about it. What's the point?
Anyway - I started saving their numbers as "so n so NO SHOW". I only had a few that ended up calling or texting back (for a different apartment, etc) and I just wouldn't bother OR I would have some "fun" and chat it up and then I wouldn't show (depending on the situation).
I have one that I ran across (on my phone) the other day that I saved. I saw the name and burst out laughing (because I was looking for the "Waste Authority" phone number): "Kelly Waste Of Time NO SHOW".
ohhh good times. I do remember Kelly Waste of time … I met her once or twice but she ended up being a total waste of time AND a no show after so hence the name. She tried to pay a deposit with a $500 bill haha --69.201.xx.xxx |

Oh boy! 500 dollar bill?!? I doubt the Fed even uses those anymore. Yes, nothing tips me off that this is counterfeit like using bills not allowed in public circulation. ( or I thought those aren’t ever in public hands.?)
I have some million dollar bills she can have to go with those . Size may be a bit off. --70.92.xxx.xxx |

I'd like to know where she got that!
I actually do have a roomer who often pays with a $100 bill. Always pass the credit union's ink test.
Some folks just think it makes them look important/wealthy (in their head)/showing off, if they carry and use big bills. LOL - it says just the opposite to me.
It really says they don't have a bank account/can't manage their money and use plastic like most folks. --68.10.xxx.x |

I have bank accounts, rentals, own property and almost always have a couple of $100 bills on me... But then I just prefer to pay in cash. --108.4.xxx.xx |

$100 bills are one thing, but, have you ever seen a $500 bill? I don’t believe they have ever been in circulation....
Cjl , I have a neighbor at one property who gets listed in my phone as ‘Annoying Neighbor’, and then, promptly blocked. I, and others, have tried everything, finally gave up, to have a neighborly relationship. She was even known in the neighborhood for calling the cops on the postman, saying postman let the lid on the mailboxes slam down, disturbing her. Oh..... my..... --70.92.xxx.xxx |

I also have $100 bills on me at times (not all of the time - only when I "expect" to be paying for something).
Vacation, going out to dinner, just "travel" somewhere to get away (even if it's just a drive) - you never know what you may end "seeing and wanting".
I looked at the $500 bill and sort of laughed. She honestly thought it was real (or so she said at the time). I told her I don't even think they were ever in circulation and I did google it after I got home.
I don't recall right now what it stated but yeah - I wouldn't have accepted it anyway. Some people in my office most likely would have though LOL (now that's just scary). --69.201.xx.xxx |

That $500 bill was probably a fake...
Talking about $100 bills, here's a fun fact: around 80% of 100s in the world are outside of the USA, most in Russia and China.
Go figure. --99.59.x.xxx |

$500.00 bills are collectors items now. If she had a real one ( unlikely) it’s worth about $1500.00. Most were destroyed . --71.10.xxx.xxx |

Different story but on the base of "counterfeit bills" … "years" ago I owned a business that was cash only. I was out because of an illness but I was "well enough" to sit in my chair and count the money (haha) for the deposits.
As I sat there counting out the 20s I stopped and said "that didn't feel right". I looked at it and the next 3 or 4 were very clearly fake. I thought "what idiot would not be able to tell these were fake?" (obviously my employee that worked the night before).
Hypothetically I went to the bank to deposit the money (and hypothetically I would place the bills sporadically in the pile so they weren't all in the same place/ in a row). I then (hypothetically, of course) made sure that I went to the "dumb" teller and made the deposit.
The teller actually STOPPED when counting the bills on one of the hypothetical counterfeit bills. I almost dropped to the floor. Then she tilted her head, smiled and kept going saying "I forgot what number I was on".

Not sure it's a good idea to confess to knowingly passing counterfeit notes to a bank is a good idea considering you're confessing to a federal crime? --108.69.xxx.xxx |

The $500 bill was last printed in 1945 and discontinued in 1969. Her's might have been real. McKinley was the president on the bill.
When I sold my last apts I expunged my phone of nearly 100 "do not answer" listings. I had one with over 60 "missed calls." Lady worked for the city, wanted my place for her rotten kid. Called me every week for over a year.
Now if I could just hunt down the spam callers we could fertalize the desert... ;) --47.216.xx.xxx |

$500 bill - My dad sold a house somewhere between 1972 and 1975 and he came home from the closing with cash ($10,000-$11,000). He had it in $500 and $1,000 bills so they were still used for a while. --155.188.xxx.xx |
