Some states now allow the letter to be in digital form (e-mail) if you have a viable e-mail for the person. In the past, if they did not provide an e-mail, we would go ahead and send it to the address they just vacated. Usually got it back, because they did not file a forwarding order with the Post Office. But the unopened letter with the sticker on it from the PO saying they could not forward it, goes in their file. We kept the files for the prescribed length of time you have to keep such stuff, and then destroyed the file when the time was up. --75.103.xxx.xx |

OH 5321 says you send to last known address which could be the rental unit they moved from, if you go d it save it unopened in the event you go to court you give it to the judge, not the tenant.

Like others said, keep the returned envelope unopened. MY state just requires we SEND it.
We also send to their email, their text, their Emergency Contacts if needed.
My lease is clear: 4 Em Contacts per adult with authorzation to communicate at lease signing.
