Not really LL related, but I was personally involved in the search when I was a kid. A girl disappeared in 1973 walking home from our Jr High School and was found murdered the next day in the "back bay." Orange County folks will know where this is. My sister knew the girl and our whole family was out looking for her.

FORTY FIVE YEARS later they caught the guy! Wow! This case has perplexed me my whole life.

My mother would not let us walk on Margurite st (where they think she was abducted from) ever after that. Back then the area was mostly brush, now it is the entrance to the Newport Coast neighborhood of 40 million dollar homes that's always on HGTV and Million Dollar Listing.

Sad story, but got some closure, now hang him high! --47.216.xx.xxx

Revenge is best served cold...?

My BFF's niece was snatched from a phone booth (so you know it was a long time ago) in New Orleans - tortured and murdered - and it was 30 years before they found the killers - through DNA in CA. I think it was maybe 5 years ago it was solved. --50.82.xxx.xx

This is really sad and devastating when you think of what happens to the victims and families.

I can still see a picture of a Serbian father carrying his daughter after a bombing.

Where I grew up two girls vanished and their killer was caught a lifetime later. I believe the person was in jail. I don't know if the parents were still living when the news came.

This is really heartbreaking. --96.241.xx.xx

I don't feel a bit sorry for the killer but his family is another story. He has legally changed his name at one point. He's been married for a very long time and has children and grandchildren. How would you like to find out your grandpa or father was a murderer? Sad. --155.188.x.xxx

Meghan Kanka of Meghan's law was killed eight miles from here. Spirit showed me everything including the face of the perp walking around pretending to help. I called the police and no one answered so I left a message then called a well known psychic who did police work locally and asked her to call them because they knew her but not me.. Always try a psychic. The answers are there with dead relatives and they will speak to whoever can hear them. --73.248.xxx.xxx

That’s so great. I’m glad you and others have some closure. Karma has a way of working things out.

AllyM, IMHO, psychic abilities will become more common place, and accepted as time goes on. --75.70.xx.xxx

Sandy, someone is inventing a device that will allow us to see and hear our dead relatives. I learned this years ago but it hasn't shown up yet in public. --173.61.xxx.xx
