Stolen property.If you steal property, you must report its fair market value in your income in the year you steal it unless you return it to its rightful owner in the same year.

If I understand the laws correctly, your ok to steal an item under $900 and won't get jail time. Also less than $900 income doesn't have to be reported. So, just be sure that you steal less than $900 worth of property from an entity and your ok.

There are 2 divisions of tax audits. If you owe less than 10K it's civil and that's when they lock up your accounts. Over 10K it's criminal and the IRS has to PROVE in court you owe.
