I had my phone die on me. It took a couple of days for the replacement to arrive. It was an awesome test to make sure system were working and in place. i would encourage all to take a 48 hour digital holiday occasionally

The replacement cell phone came with a new SIM card. Tech support told me to shift the old SIM card to the new phone. So I now have a spare SIM card.

So my $100,000 question for the board, what does one do with a spare SIM card to utilize it?

I'm no expert on computers and phones, but I think you need a phone line to utilize a spare SIM card, in other words you need to activate it.

One time I replaced a phone, the carrier told me to discard the old SIM card since it didn't fit the slot in the new phone, and charged me $15 or $20 for the new card.

SIM's card for phones aren't that expensive, unless you have the latest type phone that won't take a standard SIM's card. I would keep it as a spare. --47.156.xx.xx

That SIM card is basically worthless. The wireless companies charge little to nothing for them, depending on the carrier and plan. --68.156.xx.xx
