The labor to remove a few rows of slate on each side plus the materials needed to reset everything, both labor and materials will be controlled by local costs, get 3 similar estimates to insure similar products, when you compare Apple's to fish it is a waste of time.

14 years ago we had a quote of $5000 for a slate roof valley.

In the meantime, Flashmate in the quart cans works really well. We go up every couple of years and put more on. --64.223.xxx.xxx
