I put down some allure oak flooring last may. Then I had an eviction and there is some gouging in the floor. I was wondering about using a brown sharpie type of pen to fill in the discolored gouge. Any other tricks for that?

Also, the floors look a little dingy. What is the best product to rejuvenate them and make them look shiny and new?

Thanks for any advice --70.184.xxx.xx

We have colored gouges with wood stain and it worked fine. --50.82.xxx.xx

I would just replace the really bad shaped ones.. I haven't tried any colored permanent markers.. I have both oak and cherry. Even if you fill the scratch/gouges, you will still see it since the material is texted color..not really uniform --72.209.xx.xx

You did not say which oak.

But we found a just a colored caulk that matched great with the light oak.

Put down with a putty knife and damp rag. Easy and looked great could not tell it was there. Year later it has still held up --73.152.xx.xxx

I would replace with new pieces. That is one of the plus sides of allure. You can replace pieces. --64.222.xxx.xxx
