What are all of the acronyms used in land lording and what do they mean? I tried to google this and all I could find so far is real estate acronyms that seem to be missing some I have seen on here. Thank you for your time and help.

ELT is early lease termination. Most LL on here refer to an ELT fee meaning the tenant pays a flat fee to get out of the rest of their lease. If you search ELT you will find discussion on amounts, lease language etc. --24.61.xxx.xx |

POQ notice means "Pay or Quit" notice. By California's laws, it's a 3-day-Pay-or-Quit notice, and it's a great way to make a tenant pay rent, according to a certain type of schedule of three days-sundays aren't counted I think. If the tenant doesn't pay within the number of days, then an Unlawful Detainer, UD, can be initiated. I think that it amounts to an eviction.
I hope very much that you find good tenants and will never need to issue a POQ notice. Best of luck. --73.93.xx.xx |
