Are any of you taking Chase Quick Pay for rent? Pros and cons? Our rent is over the 2k daily max so per banks rules, tenant would have to make 2 separate payments at least 24 hours apart to pay up the entire rental combined amount. Our lease states rent is due on the first. I guess they could start half the amount due prior to the first to get it to us in time and then the other half on the first. Thoughts? --108.184.xxx.xxx |

We do not use Zelle for just this reason. It is important to keep the rent paying process as simple as possible for tenants. Instead we use an on-line service that allows free ACH. --98.146.xxx.xxx |

I accepted it from one tenant who had an account with Chase. I would have really liked expanding my usage of it with others, but one party has to have a Chase account--- and Chase wasn't a good fit for my other needs. A big reason why Chase wasn't a good fit was that they had come up with all these rules to prevent money laundering... when their biggest problems, ahem, are a little more internal and a bit closer to home.
So, if Chase Quick Pay says, "Don't go over $2k in one day," and your rent is more than $2k in one day--- then go find someone who can meet your needs.
Does ClearNow have a maximum? I'm thiiiis close to setting up my account with them. --96.46.xxx.xx |

We both bank with Chase so that part works. It’s free if you are with Chase. Not familiar ye5 with Clearnow. --108.184.xxx.xxx |

Quick pay is now called Zelle Pay. I love it. All the big banks are using it now. At one time I had 8 checking accounts, just so I could deposit a rent check where it was written, helping to avoid bounce backs. Now with zelle I am down to just 4,, and soon hopefully can eliminate another soon. No problems with getting more than $2000 per person as most of my rents are only $1300-1600 per month. With about 20 tenants using zelle, my phone is like a pinball machine the first of each month. It’s constantly dinging every time someone makes a payment! Love that noise! --166.137.xxx.xx |

I have several tenants using Zelle these days. I love it. I have one tenant who sends two $600 payments a day apart, and one who sends $1000 and then $100 a day apart, and a couple who send $600 each same day, etc. So if there are sending limits (and they seem to vary!) my tenants are figuring it out just fine!
If they actually bank at Wells Fargo (my bank) no sending limits except the first time you send. Had one new tenant send me $10 just to get it going prior to the rent due date, and she was able to send full amount due on the correct date.
It's working for me. --50.82.xxx.xx |

I have most of mine on Clearnow, but I have a couple using Zelle. Zelle is working for those who have it.
Clearnow does have a roommate setting, so I have my trio of girls using that. The roommate setting allows the debit to happen for more than one at the location. Still costs $2 per debit, though. I'll be raising the rent a few dollars per month for the next lease year.
I am also working on a collections account and will accept Zelle from that one. With Zelle, I can make a money request, and they can respond with the transfer. The debtors do banking with US Bank and USAA, both of whom use Zelle now. I like it MUCH better than waiting for a check or money order. --64.251.xxx.xxx |

Advantage of Zelle over ACH I've heard is no clawback. Once the money from Zelle arrives, the tenant can't reverse the transaction. I'm willing to take split payments for the extra protection of Zelle. --201.140.xxx.xx |
