I put supplementary baseboard heat into both units in the Cute Cape Cod. Upstairs does not have the thermostate for the main gas hot air heater so I put a few baseboard heaters in there in case the downstairs shuts off the heat or cooks and bakes all day and the heat doesn't come on.
Upstairs tenant asked me where the thermostat is to control the room temperature for the baseboard units. I thought it was in the dial used to turn them on. He says it seems to get hotter than the 70 degrees he set on the dial on the wall. What's with that? It's possible that he just thinks the units don't shut off when temperature is reached. Is it possible that they are NOT shutting off when temperature is reached? I will pick up some thermometers he can hang on the wall above the dials. It has to be the dial on the wall that shuts them off when temperature is reached, right?

Yes it turns on/off with the dial, so if it is set for 65 and goes to 70, make a note the t-stat goes a little hotter - or reset the knob to the 70 mark. --76.188.xxx.xx |
