Tenant moved and we found dryed cat urine in a bathroom tiles. The tiles was washed with te odoxit about 6 times, but it is still a layer of dry crystals on a grout, even after the solution was poured and left overnight.
I was reading that a vinegar can dissolve it quicker, but afraid to use because we have a heated electric floor.
Any ideas how to proceed?

Libi,
Crystals probably means the urine is still there. wetting it just makes a puddle or lets it soak deeper.
I suggest wetting the troublesome area and VACUUMING it UP with a wet/dry vac. Repeat several times.
When you are convinced you have pulled up all the urine, THEN add OdorXit.

Can you use a skinny metal brush from the paint department to scrub each line. Perhaps get a mutli tool and remove enought grout so you can re grout? Or rent to a other cat person --99.203.xx.xxx |

I dunno Plenty. I think it could cause an escalating ammonia war if the new kitteh tenant finds someone's been peeing in her new territory. Then before you know it everything
Gets crazy and you have cats and dogs living in sin and it will just go downhill from there. Probably best for libi to go with the first solutions you gave. ;) --174.233.x.xx |
