I'm wanting to redo a house using Repose Gray paint. Need to redo flooring as well. Will use either Allure or try the Lifeproof flooring.

I'm having trouble deciding what colors of allure might go with the Repose Gray. What have you found to look good together? Most of the floor color choices are brown tones and with a gray paint, does that work? Maybe there is a less Gray but still modern paint color choice?

Just looking for recommendations on paint/vinyl flooring color combos. Kitchen cabinets are white. One room already has Gray tile and I know there is a Gray Allure color option. With Gray walls though isn't this too much Gray? --75.89.xx.xxx

They all go with it. I decide the color of the flooring based on whether or not they have enough boxes to get the job done.

Don't overthink this stuff. --50.32.xxx.xx

I just turned over an apartment with Repose Gray and Lifeproof flooring in Walton Oak color. Looks great. Before this last turnover, I used Allure gripstrip. This was the first time I used the Lifeproof flooring and I LOVE it. It does cost $1 more a sq. ft. but it is worth it. I do save $5 a carton buying it in the bid room. If you want to stick with the Allure, I recently painted a house Repose Grey and used Khaki Oak Allure. That looks good also. --174.200.x.xxx

You might check out the LifeProof in Shadow Hickory. It's a brownish gray. We just did a house with Mega Greige on the walls with the Shadow Hickory & it looked amazing. But I like a mid-tone/darker tone on the floors. LifeProof has several gray options---at least in our store.

And we won't be going back to Allure. --104.128.xx.xxx

Did my parents house with repose grey walls. The have light oak hardwood floors and a beige vinyl in the kitchen. They look fine. Like NE said, don't over think it. Decide how dark you want the floor and go with something along that lines. Most tenants are not looking for a designer house. New paint and floors go along way to please them. --108.44.xx.xx

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm open to any recommendations and feedback. This one is being updated to sell. So I'm looking for what appeals to buyers. I'll try not to overthink things but it seems to be in my DNA. --75.89.xx.xxx

Lisa,

Congrats on staying current!

We use Repose Grey with white trim as our standard color, with a variety of floors - Cherry Allure, Sedona Allure, various wood look laminates, light, medium, or dark hardwood.

My tip: wall color preferences change if you stay on top of what's IN, but floor colors tend to stay the same.

In few years grey will be old fashioned and we'll be talking about other wall colors.

I recently paired repose grey with allure autumn oak grip strip in a kitchen and LR. I like that color allure a lot and it goes well w/ the paint.

Not that I'd match it w/ repose grey but I am happy with my pacific pine allure floor. --24.194.xx.xx

If Life Proof is you floor of choice get several different samples take them to your unit and see how they look in your unit. Plus if repose Gray is your wall color choice paint a wall are then decide the floor color that looks good.

Another thought is go to your local lumber liquidators ask them what are the top 3 selling flooring choices. Take the samples to your unit and see how they look with the wall color.

Enjoy preparing your unit for the market. Have fun with it. Then enjoy yournew venture after the closing. --99.56.xx.xx

If this is for resale, pick the most popular floor color, then paint the walls. Walls are very easy to change color, floors are not. If repose does not go well with the floor you can pick a grey that has different undertones. But for people that are buying they can change any wall colors for a few bucks. --108.44.xx.xx

Khaki Oak is in-store and works well with grey.

Brushed Oak Taupe is online only and it is similar in tone but variegated with darker tones, you can't tell that from the samples. A busier pattern is more forgiving over time if seams come apart a little or you don't get a perfect joint. Can't even see it.

We've got the brushed oak taupe in multiple houses and people love it. --50.82.xxx.xx

I am kinda color blind but I know white needs constant attention cleaning so I use bisquit on trim and hope the cleaning efforts go farther in the house than the trim to the kids rooms. --76.188.xxx.xx
