Interested in your place, but I am not sure you will be interested in us. WE are a family of four including two teen boys, we are currently renting in Belleville IL, while we were handling family matters. My husband works in Chesterfield, overnights 12 to 14hr shifts 6 sometimes 7 days a week (avg take home about 75k yearly,) and we live a minimalists lifestyle, woue prefer less space and less stuff. This leaves us free to save and travel, so on top of the two teen boys, we have a dog and a cat. Would be willing to pay higher rent because of the amount of life that would be in your home. Would love to meet and talk, see if you think we might be the right 'fit' lol. We currently live in a one bedroom one bath 350sqft apt, so this would actually be upsizing for us! We are quiet, lots of study and work, no company; my dog is actually a service animal I have had strokes in the past. We do not drink at all, none. NO DRUGS, very wholesome, keep to ourselves, love outdoors, hiking camping, gardening, etc.

I bought a two bedroom with the toilet in the corner of the kitchen (curtain). The seller had raised a family of 9 there.

Tiny house craze is booming.

Yeah - it is a bit odd and I find it interesting that you have some people that won't buy a house because it's "too small" (maybe 900 sq ft) yet my wife grew up in those types of houses (3 bed with 1 bath) with 7 kids.

I also know that people in NYC have extremely small apartments and have a family that live there as well (and I'm sure this is almost "anywhere").

With that said - I have had a 1 bed apartment that is probably the same size (about 350 sq ft) that I've received calls on from people with 6 kids and/or 6 total people. Yeah, not interested - I know and "understand" that you all could make it work but not in this apartment house.

During the Great Recession we were desperate to find ANYBODY with rent money, we rented a 1,000sf 3 bd, 1 bath home to a family of 13 (blended family). Bunk beds everywhere. They did less wear on the home than the "normal" residents. Left it spotless.
