How do I set up Autodraft , specifically weekly? I looked at Clear Now and they don't take weekly payments. Some people get paid that way so I'm not sure why Clear Now doesn't do it. But anyway. I know some of you do Autodraft on a weekly schedule, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I've searched the board and can find any specifics.

The easiest way is to walk them through setting up automatic payments through their bank. Zelle is the most common, but some use PopMoney. --204.210.xxx.xxx |

I've used Zelle. It does work well for some but as Brad has said Autodraft gives the landlord control of it. and I want CONTROL . Yes, I'd like to take control of it. --69.160.xxx.xxx |

My bank (Wells Fargo) told me that first you need a business account with them (which I have.) Then said the tenant needs to fill out ACH paperwork at their bank, giving them my details and signing permission for the auto-debit.
I have to do this for each rental. Each time.
Which is why Cozy or Clearnow are a benefit: they handle all that for you and the tenant. But then that's a third hand in the till.
Forget it. I'll work with Zelle and auto-transfers that they set up on their own. I'm not having any issues with this way of collecting rent so no reason to change.
I'm down to maybe 3-4 tenants who pay at the bank. The rest use online automation. No one pays by check or cash to us except maybe first month. --50.82.xxx.xx |
