Looking to purchase front door for my personal house. Currently it has double doors. I want do to put in a door with 2 sidelights. Fiberglass with the wood grain look is what I’m thinking. Best place to purchase ? Recommendations?

Fiberglass entry door very nice. Weather resistant and good sound deadening properties. Sorry no recommendation for where in NY but I have noticed that some models are extremely heavy; heavier than steel or solid wood doors, which makes for a difficult install. Always verify the weight before purchasing, so you know what you will be in for.

Some consider sidelights as a security risk because it is tempting to a burglar to break that sidelight, and simply reach thru to flick open the deadbolt and doorknob. --174.21.xxx.xxx

Simpson or Rogue Valley Doors are supposedly the top of the line for ready-made-doors, and the latter has a website that can locate a local dealer based on your zip code.

The trend in the area seems to be doors with wrought-iron designs over some inlaid glass that add an artistic touch as well as security and light?

Best of luck in your search. --107.3.xxx.xxx

Just to add. If not a covered porch. Then fiberglass doors with the optional composite frame. --73.152.xx.xxx
