We’re 687 miles away from South Carolina but we are feeling the effects of Hurricane Florence.
Shingles and decking prices just jumped up, plus my roofer and another large contractor left here to grab the high priced insurance jobs created by the hurricane.

A lot of chicken and pork off the market too. I stocked up on chicken last week and froze it in my basement freezer. It's a terrible tragedy. Samaritan's Purse is a good organization to help. --73.178.xxx.xx |

nhsailmaker, I have read a few opinions like that over the years. Sowell and Walter Williams have written about it as well. Free markets are the best way to go, government regulations usually make things worse. I can still remember the gas lines and limit to how much you could buy.
Yes, prices will go up all over the country because of this disaster, but that is nothing new. They will stabilize. --108.44.xx.xx |
