Hello,

Thanks you for providing a forum for discussions. Most landlord have to pay various fees for rental inspections and rental element , boiler permits etc.

When I read the fine print of my airline ticket inaddition to plane cost , taxes, government fee, airport fee etc.

It would seem appropriate in addition to credit check fee, Adm fee , add in the inspection fee, prorated City ordnance fee and state of Michigan permit fee.

What are your thoughts ?

Thank you for your time

Better check your state and local regulations before attempting to add in such fees. Likely better to just build most of this in to the monthly rental amount. --50.45.xxx.xxx

I'm not sure what the logic of breaking down these other costs (as part of the application fee) for the tenant? If your application fee is higher than what the market will bear, they won't care--they just won't apply. --72.188.xxx.xxx

I don't like big angry people around me so I screen via email and phone and show once or twice to finalists. I don't charge them any fees and it makes it real easy to say buh bye as they have no psychological claim as they spent zero. I pay for credit check. --73.178.xxx.xx
