No. It’s determined by the type of flood zone per FEMA map. --24.147.xx.xxx |

That website won’t do anything for you if you’re looking for a deal. Flood insurance premiums are established by the federal government and do not differ from one insurance company to the next. The amounts are based on the type of flood zone on FEMA maps. --24.147.xx.xxx |

Contact your local insurance agent. I recently sold a home of mine and my realtor was able to find out promptly through is insurance agent that the home is not in the floodplain.

The most recent president screwed you if you NOW need flood insurance.
I never needed it before. The previous maps were so good I could walk my property line with them.
New maps taken from 20,000 feet in the air now have the new flood plain over the top of my 2nd story roof.
that is a Noah's ark flood. Besides I know the engineer that designed the dam down stream and it is a break away dam and would not handle ever 100th of that sized flood.
I Called the surveyor recommended by my bank and he said every case he has appealed - they have lost - Last presidents people installed all the way down through the administration are unreasonably firm.
I now give $2000 a year for nothing and there is no way to even get other quotes - the Ins agents cant do a thing to create competition.
PS flood insurance does not cover basement only from 1 floor subfloor and up.
