Do you mean month to month rentals or Airbnb/VRBO type STRs? My long term apartments are unfurnished month to month rental agreements, that work like any other long term rental. Even though we do month to month agreements, my shortest length of stay was 7 months, my longest is 4 years (since we bought the property). Must people stay 2-3 years.

I have one Airbnb property, but my maximum stay is 5 days. I only want the vacation crowd; I don't want the homeless-but-still-have- credit-card crowd. No vetting with Airbnb beyond what the platform does. --98.146.xxx.xxx

I have had an active Airbnb since May and have done very well so far. About half of my renters have been business stays, but no actual Corporate rentals. I don't personally encourage Corporate rentals because we don't want longer term stays in this apartment. I wonder whether businesses aren't searching Airbnb or HomeAway for corporate rentals anyway, since it's so easy. --23.30.xx.xxx

I've been asked for three months. This time of year I say no... six month ok. But we are approaching holidays and winter. One month would be business or medical? Can you get a really good premium? Furnished unit? What are you doing! --99.203.xx.xx
