I was leasing a unit recently and you would not believe how many groups of individuals are gathered together in these kinds of circumstances, straining occupancy capacity. Of course they have a menagerie that they want to move in as well, one group had three cats and two dogs along for the ride. In Ontario it would be considered a human rights violation to reject based on numbers so I ran credit. All such cases came back strongly negative. Bankruptcies and collections are commonplace. It is not uncommon to have stiffed pay day loan companies all over town and to have bad debts with cable and cell phone companies in the thousands.
