I have a malfunctioning Bosch dishwasher. For some reason the pump stays running and won't advance to the next cycle. Problem is NOT the float switch. Any advice regarding an online resource to assist in troubleshooting? Thanks in advance for your responses. --73.195.xxx.xxx

I remember having this problem once when we had a power flicker while it was running a cycle. Try resetting it by holding down the power button or a combo of buttons. I can't remember which. Then pick a rinse cycle and let it run all the way through. Mine had the problem of a cycle left on, but the system though it was off. --108.69.xxx.xxx

There are various methods to reset the dishwasher on the control panel. But I find that sometimes an internal part goes hair-wire and needs to be replace. The cost of parts for the Bosch dishwasher isn't cheep. If your dishwasher is more than 6 years old, then if it can't be reset, replace it. Once you start to change parts at $400 a pop, two repairs is already too much good money going after an ageing unit. --47.156.xx.xx

This is the reason I don't use Bosch. 400.00 parts and lets face it when they break it cost 600.00 to figure out you need to spend 1200.00 more for a new one.

So when my dishwashers break-- don't care why- it's yanked out and new one brought in. This is an item that i stock in my wearhouse (5). Once a dishwasher gets old enough to break it costs way to much to money to monkey around with- timers run 150.00 plug 150.00 labor-- and in the end you still have an old dishwasher!!! --99.103.xxx.xxx

The ones with rotary times don't seem to have these upsets, the version with a sink plug are better - at least you know your hands are clean a couple times a week. --76.188.xxx.xx

Bosch? Really? German engineering is too tight and rigid. I would never purchase German anything. I assume this is in your home? I have to laugh at my neighbor. He couldn't pay his mortgage and let the paint fall off the front of the house. Then the buyer lost the home but he's still living there and he has a Jag out front and two or three older BMWs that he is constantly fixing. --73.178.xxx.xx

I bought a Bosch a few years back thinking I was really moving up in the world. I can say that it is quiet. Have had no problems with it. --24.233.xxx.xx

In our Cape Cod house, we had a Bosch dishwasher, with a custom wood panel that matched the rest of the kitchen. It worked, but made a horrible grinding sound. (It wasn't old.) When we began renting the house we replaced it with a Miele. Didn't replace the panel, but we could at some point.

I love Miele dishwashers, but not washer/dryers.

Obviously not for rentals. --24.63.xx.xxx
