Has anyone ever used an ozone machine to get rid of cigarette smells within rental unit. Did some research and found that they have the possibility to work but also could have some side effects as well. Any input would be great thank you! --173.190.xxx.xxx |

Steve,they are supposed to do the job,you're supposed to plug them in close to the door,so that you don't over expose yourself to the fumes they emit.Have never used one yet.Where have you acquired one from,and how much did it cost?.......charlie...........................................................sorry I'm not more help.......................... --174.199.x.xxx |

Used one in a pickup truck to get rid of cigarette odor once. Helped a lot but didn't completely fix it. Doused the car in Febreeze and that fixed it for good. --108.69.xxx.xxx |

It works. Usually needs multiple treatments. Not good to breathe, so put it on a timer. Air out property when you first arrive back over.
I don't know if it can be safely used in one unit of a multi-family.

I know hotels use it to get rid of smoke and musty odors. I have tried several times with pet odor with no luck. --72.95.xxx.xx |

If you allow enough time they work, when smoking was common in nite clubs there was a machine in every air vent running 24hrs, they are still common in restaurants running 24hrs to take away kitchen smells and the flying insects stay away - unless it is a filthy kitchen. --76.188.xxx.xx |
