I have been using craigslist.com for advertising my vacant apartments for several years now, but with all the new similar sites available, what are a few of the best ones out there.

Many thankyous,

PS: I don't mind paying to get abundant leads. --173.48.xxx.xxx

Craigslist, Zillow, hotpads, and trulia are what I use. I get plenty of good applicants through these sites. When you post to Zillow the ad automatically posts to hotpads and trulia. Other options are Facebook and there is a resale app called letgo that now has an apartment rental section. --24.147.xx.xxx

I am using Craigs List now and getting really good applicants. But it goes with the area. Higher education for the population. Near Princeton where every apartment is too expensive, so they have to drive to live near there. --73.178.xxx.xx

I get the majority of my leads off the Zillow syndicate (includes hotpads and trulia).

In my area, Craigslist is overrun by big boy apt complexes that over-post their own ads multiple times per day. Last time I posted a vacancy it was 2 pages down deep in the list within an hour. I don't know how they get past the tracking algorithms that are supposed to prevent over-posting, but they figured something out.

I like Zillow because the same street address can only be posted once, and that's it.

There is also "apartments.com", but I have not used them yet and cannot speak to the quality of their service. Others I know have used them and appear satisfied. --173.19.x.xxx

For apartmnts the best sites are: apartments.com, apartmentfinder.com, apartmentguide.com.

Zillow and Realtor are the best for TH and SFH but you need to test a few of them since it can vary by geography. --71.75.xx.xx

In addition to Zillow and it's affiliates, Facebook marketplace is effective; be sure to have your systems automated because FB marketplace gets you lots and lots of inquiries, many showings and a few approved residents. --72.172.xxx.xx

Craigslist, Zillow and Apartments.com

I tried an ad in the local paper last year and got 0 leads for $200. --201.202.xxx.xx

I use zillow and trulia and then the listing is scarfed up by many more websites/ apps. Many of which I know nothing about until I ask people where they saw the listing.

Stopped using CL because of scammers, but scammers are morphing to zillow too. On CL it was meet me on the street and I'll give you the keys when you give me the deposit. Now the "LL" says send me an application fee and BTW here is a copy of my ID (stolen no doubt) so you know I am trustworthy. People still see my info on the listing so they call me too. Can't quite figure out how they hijack it. --24.194.xx.xx

CL is the worst for hijacking but as small potatoes said it also happens on other sites as well.

What they have a problem with are hijacking pix with watermarks and they can't remove the watermarks which means they can't show pix that has another company's name on it. --71.75.xx.xx
