Our city won't let us post "fine for loud noise" signs, though surrounding cities do. We're at wit's end...cars driving past with noise loud enough to make our homes vibrate, neighbors who begin blasting as they leave their homes at 1 AM, their adult children then blast their stereos during most of the day (though not continuously), landlords who say "call the police, it's not our problem." I hate them too,..but I agree call the police, its not a Ll problem,..You might write a letter to the editor pointing out its a big safety hazard. I know ambulance and fire truck drivers who say they don't pull over because they can't hear the sirens, It could be holding up valuable time for them to get where they should be going, effecting you or someone you car about.
I also have a thing about loud motorcycles,..about half of them remove their baffles (mufflers) right after inspections because they like the loud sound,..(claiming that loud bikes saves lives) disputed by every study and the American Motorcycle Association.
Of course we (I have a bike and a bunch of trophies in motocross) are suppose to tell you the "tale" of how we surely would have died if not for our loud bike.Its what we are supposed to say.

My town has a noise ordinance. You might be able to check online for some such ordinances and then work with your city council to have such a law put on the books. If the council won't do it, you should be able to have it put on your local ballot for all the voters to vote up or down. --99.165.xx.xxx |
