While attending the Mr Landlord convention, one of my best tenants had sent me a text giving me notice that they were taking advantage of a great job offer and are moving to Austin, TX in August. They thought very highly of me on how I took care of their property and their needs. They are willing to assist me with helping rent their unit out. In making the beat of the situation, has anyone ever asked their outgoing tenants to write a letter of recommendation about their landlord? If someone were smart, they'd start a business based on the model of the online ESA certificates. We could sell glowing landlord letters of reference and offer a call center where we pretend to be the previous landlord when a future landlord calls for references.
This could be a winning opportunity here in the making.
