I own the RIDGID corded reciprocal saw, I HAVE a pile of tree branches I need to cut into 4' lengths.
The tree is on the ground; trunk already cut up. It is going to rain for next several days here.
Is it dangerous to use this saw on wet branches AFTER the rain ends??
branches are about 1 inch in diameter.
Thanks

Make sure you use a grounded cord and you should be good to go. The fact the tool is double insulated makes it tough to get shocked unless you cut through the cord. --99.32.xxx.xx |

How about plugging your extension cord into a GFCI outlet? Most outside outlets are GFCI now. --157.204.x.x |

You are fine. But also but a Reciprocating saw pruning blade. Will make it twice as easy as any normal course blade. --76.3.xxx.xx |

Like the others have said use a garden type blade, it can be used on nothing else - it has a wide kerf and deep teeth. --76.188.xxx.xx |

My concern is not electrical, but the blade kicking on the wet wood. Be sure to wear steel toe boots and very good gloves. Be safe!
