I have a Husky electric power washer. 1800 psi. I have noticed the last several uses that when I plug it in, it makes a constant click, click, click sound, and never tops.
I have pushed the reset button, but it continues this sound. Also, the pressure never goes up to the high setting anymore, just stays on medium.
Someone said that the GFCI plug may be starting to go and I could replace it. The cost is about $20 or so. Also, the wand leaks, so I would need a new wand and hose...not cost effective.
I just decided to buy a new unit. Bought a Ryobi 1600 psi small, lightweight little powerhouse for $79.00 yesterday. What a work horse!. I just need it for cleaning decks, porches, nothing heavy duty.
I would like to give away the Husky, but I don't want to have a chance that the plug may be defective and the GFCI fail. Any thoughts on this constant clicking?

Not sure if same clicking or not. I was using a gas powered pressure washer last weekend. The pump motor started clicking and the water wasn't even coming out of the wand. Turns out the water hose was kinked.
Is it possible something is partially blocking the water flow to yours? Or where does the actually clicking sound come from? I saw one once that had mud in the filter screen where the water hose attached. --199.64.x.xxx |

Dale, it is definitely clicking from the GFCI plug when it's plugged into an outlet. --174.199.x.xx |

Not sure of your clicking...probably a good idea to change out the GFCI.
As far as the leaky wand...never met a power washer yet that didn't seem to leak there. --50.45.xxx.xxx |

Cut off the gfci and put a regular plug there to try out, you can buy a gozin-gozout inline gfci for about 20bux and use it on any of your lawn care toys. --76.188.xxx.xx |
