Not the exact answer to the question you are asking (hopefully someone has those figures.)
Just some thoughts- if its an older home, give consideration to lead paint laws before pressure washing, as any loose paint chips will go far and wide. (Lead paint laws do more harm than good sometimes, but that is a rant for another post.)
My family used a brush on a long extension handle, designed for washing houses when we repainted a personal non-rental garage. Got the brush at Wal-Mart. It has a soap reservoir too, and did a good job. We layed multiple layers of old bedsheets on the ground to catch chips, water drained through.
I too have a busy street-dirty rental house, and I might borrow that brush to wash my rental house this summer. I shy away from pressure washing on that property not because of paint chips as paint is very secure, and top layer of aluminum siding is fairly recent, BUT that house has had to be treated for carpenter ants, and I'd be concerned that a novice pressure washer ( me, in this instance,) might get water back in behind the siding. I don't want carpenter ants again. Ugh!
My houses are only one story, but with gable ends. When I needed to paint the trim high up the gable, I stuck the ladder in the bed of the pick-up for the extra height to reach. If I were to wash this house with that wand, I'd be sure to wear the boat shoes on that ladder.

use Wet and Forget. Put it on and in 3 weeks it is clean. Or use the house wash that hooks up to a hose.

Steve,don't know how handy you are,but getting your own washer,they go from $80 to A little over s hundred,then you can do your neighbors too kinda good will gesture,But I'd stay to hell off that pickup bed,my friend did that and the ladder slipped and now he's paralyzed,from s strong healthy person to s vegetable........charlie............................................. --174.199.x.xx |
