I use the Mr LL credit check. I was running an app this evening and the report brought back 3 addresses that were not listed on the application. I called the applicant and ask if she ever lived in that certain city. She said oh my that was over 13 years ago. The same with the other two. It had been years since she lived there. I actually believe her so Im not questioning her telling me the truth. This has happened to me a couple of other times. Just wondering if you all run into this issue?? --76.92.xx.xx |

Some of the addresses will have a date showing when they were reported to the bureau. I don’t know if that’s the date they were first reported, last reported, or what. Others don’t have a date. I’ve always assumed those could easily be from a long time ago. If I see one with a date within the last 5 years that wasn’t listed on the rental app I question it pretty hard. I try to go ahead and contact the owner or apartment community for a reference if I can find them. It’s usually pretty easy with an apartment community. Myob (GA) I understand how this could catch up with me. When it happened before I didnt approve them but not for that reason. This person has a very slight learning disability and has a co-signer. I just find it odd that the credit report is showing addresses they havent lived at for several years when its obviously wrong.

This happens all the time -- I don't discount them for it.
I pull my own credit report and it lists "current" addresses that I haven't lived in for two decades. It also lists my father's home in Indiana that I NEVER lived at at all. It is not reliable.

30 years ago, my father in law opened a visa account for my husband.
28 years ago he opened one for my brother in law.
To this day, my husband's credit file often shows my FIL's address and BIL's address. Those accounts have been closed for nearly 20 years!
