This will likely only pertain to those who have a Menard's in their local market. I have a HD 30 miles up the road but the closest Menard's is 100 miles; that seems to be "local".

Did you know Home Depot is honoring Menard's 11% Rebate weeks?? Because we didn't until about 6 weeks ago. (Methinks we were slow to the game on this one......)

Our local Home Depot is certainly NOT advertising this & we found out about 6 weeks ago by accident when we ordered kitchen cabinets. Identical cabinets to Menard's but HD wouldn't match the price on the 11% rebate. We had to submit the receipt to HD for the "price match".

Well, we had just ordered doors & windows on that rebate week as well. We've been doing a big rehab project for an investor & had a stack of receipts that we submitted & got a stack of HD gift cards in about 2 weeks.

I know Lowe's was advertising in-store for a similar program but I don't shop Lowe's as I don't have a store close. But it's nice that HD is matching the rebate for those weeks.

I didn't know you folks talked about how many miles it was from one place to another.

I thought you talked about how long (in time) it took to get from one place to another.

Like in "its a four hour drive or it ONLY takes 2.5 hours to get there".

My brother in law who moved here from the Res in NM still thinks in time and not miles.

He also works on Navaho time. You ask him when and he says " I'll start... when I start" or"WHEN I GET TO IT'

It has been mentioned on here a few times in the past, but it is always a good reminder.

I sometimes wish that this site had a FAQ or Wiki so that we could have little hints like this in it for all to read over. So much seems to get missed here in the forums unless someone happens to ask about it again or mention it. I'll all for good discussions -- but there are lots of fairly straightforward things that would be great in a Wiki.

The Home Depot 11% rebate match to Menards has been going on for years (when a 'local' Menards has their storewide rebate promotions) and, as you say above, they don't advertise or promote it. The latest Menards rebate period ended yesterday. Lowes also offers this and theirs ended yesterday too...

If someone bought product at HD or Lowes during these latest rebate periods, at a qualifying 'local' store, you still have time to send in for the rebates.
