I am taking a chance and ordering a part from Repair Clinic as they say they will take returns. I am curious as to any of you repairing the problem of the large element not heating? We tried the other element in affected unit & it doesn't heat in it either. The block appears to be ok, not burned. So, I ordered the switch for that element, hoping it will do the trick. Kind of a 50/50 guess. It may be the block. --71.51.xxx.xxx |

The best method is to use VOM meter to check for voltage and continuity of the element. Older stoves here have fuses for the elements. It could be the infinite switch or wiring. At the block the voltage will 208Vac to 240Vac depending on input. Remember those voltages are dangerous along with high current so care has to taken. There are also videos on You Tube about repairing stoves. --147.194.xxx.xxx |

You will find them helpful, the controls are only about 45bux and fit many, many stoves. So you transplant a known good burner into a opening that has failed and it doesn't heat up, thats about it for electric stove troubleshooting... --76.188.xxx.xx |
