I am using Rent Right still on a Windows 98 offline machine with floppy disks. I have replacement parts for the machine to keep it going longer. No extra disk or key..sorry. Love Rent Right. I tried Tenant File and felt it was user unfriendly and I do not want to store data "in the cloud". --216.23.xxx.xx |

I only have my version of Rent Right 2 that I am using on my Windows 7 system. If you find a copy and need help installing it, let me know and I will be willing to help. Rent Right only works on XP or earlier, but with Windows 7 Professional, you can run it in the Virtual Windows XP window. --99.165.xx.xxx |

I have Rent Right version 3. It needs the computer generated activation code . I’ve heard that Rent Right 2 had the activation code on the disk. If I could get my hands on one of those I could just run it easily from now on.

My mom has a copy of RentRight 3 and it would not install on Windows 7 Home and then we still couldn't get the code. I have all of the software but can't get it to work. That is why I still stick with RentRight 2.
One of the tricks to installing RentRight 2 is to load all of the software and copy the license file from your old PC. Then set the date of your PC to the system date of the license file, RRVER2.LIC. The software will recognize the license and then you can reset your computer's system date back to the current date.
I searched Amazon and eBay and no one has a copy of RentRight 2 for sale. Most likely most people just threw it away. What a shame. Not sure what the legality would be of using someone else's software and license since you already own a copy of RentRight 3. You have a license for RentRight, but you would be running an older version instead of version 3 or a newer version. --99.165.xx.xxx |
