No you don't, but having an attorney as a trustee in a different state is a solid strategy.

You can claim attorney - client privilege if trouble would ever happen. Also getting served in two separate states is more difficult than just one. Where nothing is full proof, you would be making yourself a less desirable target --24.101.xxx.xxx
