I use to attend the monthly meeting of the state wide group which was comprised of most of the LL & rooming house groups in MA. These meetings were held in Auburn MA. There were people from all of MA as well as part of CT that attended. Over the years the leadership changed & AIR no one was willing to spend the time & energy required to run the group.
Skip & Lenore Schloming (sp) were some of the founders of SPOA. They have remained active for 30+ years. Over the years I've attended some of their meetings as well as their yearly lobby our legislators at the State House.
Back when we advocating for question 5 aka the repeal of rent control the leadership of SPOA & the leadership of the state wide LL group got into a p$ssing match over who did the most & who actually got state wide referendum pasted. Unfortunately both groups had some valid issues which never got resolved.
