I have someone in mind to do a floor and kitchen cabinet replacement. There are no actual permits required by the county to do either of these things. The person does have a contractor license, I checked it online.
I know to check the insurance declaration page and call the insurance company to make sure his insurance is still current. He was going to hire a sub to do the tile so I know to get the waiver of lien for that.
What about being bonded? How do I check for that, and how important is it to have that for this kind of job? Thanks.

Try your state Contractor's licencing board. The bond should be listed on his license.

Carpentry is not risky like gas or electrical, there may not be bonding at all with cabinets or floor covering. --76.188.xxx.xx |
