I haven't done a replacement windows project for a while.. Just ordered 29 windows, 2 supply houses that I have done business before (one in RI, one in MA) quoted me slightly higher prices than Homedepot's Anderson windows.. average $162 per window..

I was paying $120-$130 last time.. If you know a better place to source them, (in MA, RI, northern CT), pls do share.

Elliot,

Here Lowes sells the Pella/Therma-Star brand that I have bought numerous times.

Small single hung windows (24 x 36) generally run about $100-$125. Larger double hung windows ( 32/36 x 54) generally run about $150.00 to $200.00. Installation can run anywhere from $100.00 to $300.00 per window, depending on who you use.

When I decide that replacing a window is a prudent idea I go directly to the Harvey Factory and get exactly what I want for the best price. Skip Retail - go direct. There are window factories everywhere. Alside is everywhere - skip retail !!!!!!! --24.34.xx.xxx

I bought 2 Anderson windows from Home Depot a couple weeks ago and was very disappointed in the quality of the window.

I suggest you stay away from the Home Depot Anderson Window - even for a Class C house.

The Home Depot Anderson window is not the same quality as the regular Anderson window. Anderson has lowered the quality of the Home Depot window to hit a certain price point for Home Depot.

Good luck!
