Never liked those huge mirrors behind garden tubs in doublewides. I guess at my age I can't see the pleasure but I digress. The one we are remodeling is missing the big mirror and even though I don't have to put/add anything to that space, the wallpaper is so "busy" I thought about hiding some of it by adding a sheet of white lattice work over the flowers. I am open to any other suggestions.
Craig's List mirrors are cheap & easy to find, but it would probably take two and they would have to match. --71.51.xxx.xxx |

How about white beadboard? I think you want something that's at least a little water resistant. --204.210.xxx.xxx |

We have used white beadboard for accent wall in kitchen at lower half to cover gouges in walls. The same ugly flower wallpaper (vinyl) is in the master bath, kitchen, master bdrm & hall bath. Combo of pink/blue/green. The lattice comes in plastic so wouldn't be an issue with that. --71.51.xxx.xxx |

I've also seen PVC based beadboard too. That would be perfect in wet environment. --108.69.xxx.xxx |

Suppose you could paint over the wall paper which is actually the wall. How about some gray and brown boards-slat that are so trendy now? May not be on the budget but an awesome rustic wow! --66.87.xx.xxx |

Pat,
The lattice woudl have to be cleaned. Ugh!
W turned me on to the tongue and groove PVC wainscotting. We used it on some tub/shower surrounds.
Maybe a row or two of large tiles? Grey horizonal rectangles are all the rage.

I'll show myself out.

What is it with that ugly wallpaper in the trailers anyhow? Are you and I the only people who thinks its awful?
I have one with that. The only reason I can't bring myself to cover/fix/replace it is that in my place it's in perfect condition still.

As Brad said, we cover bathroom walls / shower stalls / kitchen backsplashes with PVC beadboard.
We have even put it on the ceiling in some bathrooms. We have used it and PVC shoe molding to create walls around a claw-foot tub.
Easy to clean, water-proof, super easy to put up. Looks great. --50.82.xxx.xx |

Yeah, don't know what I was thinking with the lattice, imagine the dust? Just thought of a trellis, & the flowers peeking out! All good ideas above. Talked to my prospective tenant last night about using the space for shelves or just covering with something since the tapes behind the mirrors are showing, not sure I can get them off. --71.51.xxx.xxx |

You can check yourself for ticks with those mirrors. --72.172.xxx.xx |
