Which do you prefer for floor tile? I can see the advantage of rectified in that there is a thinner grout line, but are there disadvantages too?

Bad contractors can mess up easily.
We was putting a rectified tiles and contractors installed them not leveled and with a big gap for the ground anyway.

Takes more time and skill to install rectified. The edges are sharp so there isn't much tolerance for lippage. I will usually use a self-leveling float and leveling clips when installing rectified edged tiles. I also charge extra for it. --75.108.xxx.xx |

The advantage of rectified tiles is that the edges are ground down so that the tiles are all the same size. That makes it easier to run small grout lines. --75.108.xxx.xx |

Thanks tileguy, and luba. I've decided against rectified because I've read stories of people not knowing how to put it in, and I don't care that much about having smaller grout lines. --72.188.xxx.xx |

I found a tile that I like, but it's rectified.
If you don't care about having tiny grout lines, is installing rectified still require special skills? --72.188.xxx.xx |
