My properties are located in the Northwestern University/Evanston IL area. Which is in the greater metropolitan area of Chicago. I need a new credit/background screening company. Any recommendations are helpful.
Please leave the credit name of the company and a contact number.

Henry, there is a tenant screening company offered right on this site which many of the visitors use. They do credit, eviction and criminal background reports. Their prices are extremely competitive and you can do it right online from your home or office 24/7. For info, go to -

I use credit plus. They are mainly a reporting agency for mortgage companies but they do have a rental division.
I pay $12 for a report that includes all 3 reporting agencies plus an eviction report. They also provide the adverse form letters required by FCRA and a consumer copy of the report which I always send to applicants whether they are approved or rejected.
The reports are available within minutes and they keep the reports on file for you it's either 7 year or 10 years. You can also download them if you prefer.
They do require an in home or office visit to ensure that the reports are being securely protected. --71.75.xx.xx

I have to say that I was disappointed with the credit /tenant screening I received via Mr Landlord.....
After doing my own homework, I found that 2 applicants had extensive criminal backgrounds which I thought should have been discovered by Mr. Landlord's organization and which is what I paid for? Not pleased
