Follow up to my who is responsible post about charging a security deposit for a door that was kicked in...

I did charge for the door but only my actual out of pocket costs, not my time installing. Tenant was quite unhappy and I just smiled and said "have a nice day and see you there" as he left saying "this isn't over, see you in court!" I noticed he did cash the check within an hour after he left.

I don't expect to end up in court - been threatened before, but it never happens.
