I was at the convention in St. Louis in 2016 and in Cleveland for the 2017 convention. Where have they been in the past?

It has been Memorial Day weekend the last few.

Sadly, I have a competing conference that weekend every year.

I also am hoping for St. Louis. Of course, Kansas City would be my top choice.

Nashville 2014, Indianapolis 2015, Cleveland 2017.

St. Louis 2016? We did not go and I'm so sorry we didn't. We went to the Retreat in January instead. We should have attended both!

Was 2013 St. Louis too? Where was 2012?

Yes,..Jeffrey forced me to get on stage and reveal (confess) all of my secrets of how I buy houses dirt cheap in AL. It was on this stage in front of 300 people where my now famous 'Handyman Ad' was first made public.

Jeffrey was also the one who coined the phrase 'Dream Team' that year. It was a reference to a group of LL's who Jeffrey thought were at the top of their game and they were all attending the 2011 convention.

Forgot I was on that list! Every person on that list is still living the dream. Our dreams are different, but we are all doing it!

I met everyone on that list for the first time in 2011, all are now my valued friends and advisors!

This one is now retired. I met my goals, quit the day job, and am living on nothing but rents. Life is good. I got to this point through Jeffrey and the people I have met RIGHT HERE.

Like Gevans, I too have retired from the day job, mine of accumulating rent payments. After reaching 26 units and working them for a few years, plunging toilets and paying taxes it was time for the next level.

Making the dream come true! With the celebration of the final mortgage payment it was time to collect some (mortgage payments). I now have just one single family rental and it is fully managed by someone else. The rest have been sold. Some for cash, most I hold the mortgage on, and a couple 1031 exchanged for waterfront property here in SW Florida. (Gotta have a place to dock the boat.)

Our home in Jacksonville is on the market and we are rehabbing one on the river here in Ft. Myers. This spring we sail for Maine, maybe we can meet up with some of you along the way.

If you all go to St Louis be sure to visit the arch. We would stop if passing through, but, there are no marinas on the Mississippi in St Louis.

To Jeffery and the Dream Team, I owe a lot of learning and some great times.

To the rest of you, Go, Listen, and Learn. There is a great life to make in this aspect of real estate. Cue is right, your not going to tour the city. In 2016, I walked across the parking lot for dinner the first night and that was the only time I left the hotel.

Last year, all I did was cross highway traffic really early in the morning from my hotel and stumble back late at night, half in the bag. No touring of Cleveland.
