What other seminars and conventions do you all attend in addition to the Mr LL events?

I had hoped to go to OREIA last month and wasn't able to.

I'd like to start adding 2-3 more events to my year.

Ideally, I'd like some courses that are a little different than specifically RE. Maybe business management, etc.

I have heard a little about the OREIA near Cincinatti but never attended, there is a realtor show in central east Ohio ran by Summit and Stark counties (may be others too), this is well attended large event. An event called North East Ohio Apartment has a 1 day event, about 6 weeks ago - I could not go this year because my wiped out ankle. --76.188.xxx.xx

I can't find other events regarding generic business conferences, but I'm probably not searching properly.

We attended CSICon in 2016 in Vegas. That was pretty amazing but NOT about business LOL! --173.22.xx.xx

One of the folks who attended the latest boot camp with our group flew out of Cini since she was at that Ohio conference.

Pittsburgh ACRE used to have an excellent annual conference, as did PROA. Our local apartment association has stepped it up in the training department. This year they did a few specialized workshops.

cub scouts and boy scouts.

Look to organizations that support kids. Generally speaking these are kids who have parents that are involved. This type of parent often is into business and/or has many ducks in a row.

I believe Mr. Landlord offers three if not four major events each year. Each one being a different platform providing a good foundation for learning.

Charlie the ankle is doing good but slower mending than I like - no choice, been keeping it elevated with ice or frozen food bags and so far about 15 days in shoes - not continuously but does feel nice to walk without the wobble of the air boot, no ladders till next year - hurt a lot after the dish tv episode cause the stepladder did not have the wide steps, I have a nice metal step ladder but it rattles like crazy, the plastic one is quieter riding in my minivan. --76.188.xxx.xx

I really enjoyed the OREIA seminar. I missed it this year but going forward I am planning on attending the MR. Landlord event and OREIA event every year.

My area has a small business group for local business networking and sometimes have training classes you can attend. Also look for your local SCORE office, they have free training classes in my area.

www.sba.gov/tools/local-assistance/score

Depending on what you want to learn Udemy.com has a lot of video courses for many different subjects and run sales for $10 a course on a regular basis, I would not pay the inflated "retail" prices. Look at and read some reviews to find the good quality courses, they usually run from a few hours to 8 hours or more.

If you find other general business related events please post them here, I am interested in them too. I'm focused on REI but there are a lot of aspects to running a full fledged business that spills over into other types of businesses, like project management, book keeping, managing people (contractors) etc. --74.130.xxx.xxx

NE -- look for the Small Business Development Council in your area. Ours is sponsored through our state and local community college. They have one day seminars on marketing, accounting, and other business topics. This sounds like what you are looking for. --98.146.xxx.xx
