I'm involved in a very small condominium property. A new owner purchased a unit earlier this year and simply won't pay and acts like a professional tenant.
We don't "retain" an attorney - haven't needed to. The guy we've used occassionally in the past retired 2 years ago. Condo law is a specialty area. Our association could sue in small claims but don't want to risk having some activist judge re-writing our by-laws to benefit the little guy like they sometimes do with leases.
We're in Northwest NJ. Does any of you in NJ know any attorney(s) who specializes in condo law?

I know nothing about NJ nor condos; however, civil small claims is the way to go. take your judgment and file it wherever jugments get filed. when he goes to refinance or sell, you'll get paid. if your bylaws aren't written strong enough to withstand something this basic, have them rewritten. --72.95.xx.xxx |

A friend of mine who used to own a condo in Jersey as a rental property said the lawyer who represented their board was named GIAMO...not sure of the spelling. Hope this helps. --71.75.xx.xx |
