I know labor cost is regional, however I am looking to get an idea as to an approximate labor cost to replace Fascia.

150 feet , one story building with level ground. Shouldn't be any surprise repairs underneath it.

My thought were $400 labor, $350 materials.

1x6 boards are about 50 cents a foot. 150x50= $75

Nails maybe $10. Use galvanized

Primer $15 Kilz or Zissner Coat all sides of the board in advance, 2 coats. Both sides, top and bottom and ends. It's cheap insurance. Don't paint after fascia wood is installed

If there are no bushes in the way and no rain gutters, one days labor to remove and replace. Cost is a days labor whatever the rate in your area. Here maybe $125-150.

Use ladders and a plank to make it easier.

If you get a big company, they will likely want way more.

If there are other damages, that will cost extra.

You might also consider wrapping the fascia with aluminum trim. Trim is about $5 per 10 feet plus nails and labor. It tucks under the drip edge. --23.121.xx.xxx

On a single story ranch, this is something you do yourself unless your physically incapable. This is a job that can be done with a helper before lunch.

Hired out, I would expect you to be close in your estimate. I would also guess that if it went the 3 bid routes, you could expect bids from $400-$1,200 --50.107.xxx.xxx

Richard, I'm sure you know, but fascia and fascia boards are totally different.

Barbara, I am assuming you are talking about the aluminum fascia, is that correct? If that is what you're replacing, then my first response stands. If you're replacing the boards underneath, then your price will be way beyond $750, especially if hired out. --50.107.xxx.xxx

I pay $3/ft for the boards and $3.75/ft for the wrap. This has been for 2 story homes, but I don't think he discounts it for a ranch. --73.102.xxx.xx

It's wood boards. Was selling the property buyer went and did facia replacement without my consent before we closed on property. Long story bUT appears deal is falling thru. He wants me to reimburse him for repairs. As he did make improvements that I will benefit from I am willing to reimburse. The job was done correctly. But not an over inflated price. He is asking for $2200. --68.107.xxx.x

Or, reimburse for materials only, but I'd be included to make him eat it due to the fact that he repaired then without consent. Regardless of craftsmanship. --50.107.xxx.xxx

He did the work without permission then the deal falls through? he would get nothing from me,he put you at risk of himself getting hurt and suing you and now wants to get paid after he can't close and he wants more than the job is worth?Tell him to sue you,he doesn't have a chance of winning --72.231.xxx.xxx

His loss, your gain.

The only way I even consider budging from that is if it’s your fault that the deal is falling through and you aren’t willing to cure whatever the issue is that’s keeping it from closing. Then I might pay a reasonable amount but $2200 seems like pie in the sky. --166.137.xxx.xxx

In very few cases I have done some work before closing. But I was more than willing to gamble and knew I assume the risk. --73.177.xxx.xx
